The Boston Dance Company, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1992 by James Reardon and Clyde Nantais with the vision of offering high quality dance to underserved communities. BDC's goal is to develop a diverse company and school which provides professioal dancers, as well as children, the opportunity to study and perform the works of many different choreographers and to provide high quality dance productions to communities outside the Greater Boston area. The repertory includes classical balllets, Balanchine ballets, reconstructed historic works, 20th century masterpieces, and new works by emerging local choreographers specifically commissioned for BDC.
