A fundraising event to benefit those in need in our community.
Special tickets available for only $5 for the dance community. Enter promotional code DANCERS. Limited availability. Otherwise advanced tickets are $15, $25 for couples, $45 for a family of 4. $18 at the door. Children under 8 free.
Music for all ages. Professional photos. Photos with Santa. Ugly sweater contest. Door prizes. Snacks. Non-alcoholic beverages.
Get out those Boogie shoes and Poodle skirts. Electric slide on over to dance the night away. Your Newberry Lions invite you to attend our end of year holiday fundraising dance. This is a family-friendly event for ages 8-88 with dance music of all genres spun by our DJ Mr. October. The event begins at 7 p.m. so you can watch the Newberry Christmas Parade beforehand. Dress for the genre of music for which you like to dance, or you may wear your ugly sweater for a contest, or just come looking like an elf if you choose.
Once you have presented your ticket you may go out and return so you can spend time next door with the snow event provided by RPM Auto or listen to caroling at the Pocket Park. There will be finger foods and non-alcoholic beverages provided throughout the evening. A professional photographer will be at the event to capture photos and will also have a booth set up for pictures with our Santa Lion. We will draw door prizes throughout the evening.
We will accept requests for songs to add to the playlist through the end of this month, just post the title and artist on our Facebook page.
Come support you Newberry Lions, enjoy an evening of dancing, and help out those in need in our community. Proceeds from ticket sales support the Lions mission to assist those in need and a portion will go to the Alachua Sheriff's Explorers who will provide support during the event. We look forward to seeing you for a fun-filled evening and the Lions will kick it off by doing a dance for you.
