Curious about how to twirl poi? We will start with poi twirling technique. Whether you are interested in honing your skills to spin fire or just want to learn the joy of spinning, this workshop will get you started. Poi twirling, originally from the islands of New Zealand, is an ancient dance form that has transformed into a beautiful flow art seen all around the world. The movements were originally designed for warriors to remain strong and flexible, while at the same time balancing the body’s coordination. Traditionally a sphere on the end of a string, today’s flow arts take on many different shapes.
