UF Argentine Tango Class and Dancing

Wed 25 May, 8 pm. Corry Village, Commons Room, UF Campus, Gainesville. Free. UF Argentine Tango Club - [email][events]

8 pm Beginners. 9 pm Mini milonga social dancing. We will begin the night with a beginner lesson, followed by a mini-milonga. There will be food and refreshments. This is an opportunity to practice all the skills that you have acquired so far, or just socialize with the members of the club. Also, feel free to bring your friends to enjoy a night full of tango. Everyone can come. The beginner class is geared for people who have never danced before or who want to practice the basics. The intermediate class is for those who have been to at least some classes and is for you if you feel ready and confident enough to learn some new steps. The advanced class is for those who have been dancing for a long while now and will feature more complicated steps, so ask a teacher to make sure you are experienced enough for this level. Bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. If you own a pair of salsa shoes or jazz/ballet flats, those work great too. Fancy shoes are not necessary. The Brown parking lot directly in front of Corry Village and the Green zone on the street are restricted 24/7. Alternate parking locations will include Green decals in front of Baby Gator and the parking lots in front of the Law school, which are only a two minute walk.
