Nia is a low-impact movement technique, inspired by dance, martial arts, and mindfulness practices. Nia is easily adaptable to all levels of fitness and experience. Nia creates a playful and powerful experience, boosting pleasure, strength, mobility, stability, and overall well-being. Small group classes are facilitated in a relaxed, welcoming, and non-judgmental atmosphere.

Ongoing Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30 pm. Feel like a new, fun and challenging hobby? Give Argentine Tango a try. Confirm dates as there is no dancing during breaks.
We will do individual exercises and partner activities to understand this improvisational dance! We will explore various concepts of connection (to oneself, to the music, to the dance partner, to the dance floor, to other social dancers).
Parking is available on campus after 5 pm.
What to wear? If you own a pair of salsa shoes, jazz/ballet flats, or Toms, those work great. If not, bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. Partner Dance? You are welcome to join with or without a partner. Those who come alone will be paired up.

Bring a dish to share, if you like. No band scheduled for this month. Door usually open by 10:15. Brunch beginning 10:30 until the food is gone. Sometimes we do a lesson from 11:00 - 11:30. We provide coffee, water. Bring what you like if we don't have it. Experienced dancers will often help new dancers if asked during the dance. Then 11:30 -1:30 pm: Vintage Waltz Dancing. Wear soft-soled shoes for dancing. Park down stairs under the building, or if the Seigle Bldg. W. or N. lot., get a parking pass up stairs for your cars dash or risk getting towed.
