Feb 9, 2009 - Feb 18, 2009; Mon, Wed, Fri 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM The "Gaga" technique was created by Ohad Naharin, the artistic director of Batsheva Dance Company in Israel. first came upon the concept of Gaga while suffering an injury, and was forced to find new ways to move his body while dealing with pain.a is now the daily routine Batsheva dancers go through as training and rehearsal. It is a technique rooted in unblocking the body, freeing dancers to move with unprecedented control and releasing untapped reserves of agility and metaphysical connection.

Originally from Japan, Yoshifumi Inao has danced and worked with the Batsheva Dance Company in Israel under the artistic direction of Ohad Naharin for the past ten years. As one of the main Gaga teachers for the company, Yoshifumi gives gaga workshops and classes and sets Naharin's dances on professional dance companies and institutes around the world. Yoshifumi was artistic director of the Batsheva Dance Company, along with Sharon Eyal, from September 2003 to March 2005.
